Hello and welcome to my website, I hope you enjoy it.
My name is Stefanie Edwards, I grew up in a small town in Northern Wisconsin. I lived there until I went off to college at Minnesota State University, Mankato. There I got to expand my knowledge of design while pursuing my love for the water by being a collegiate swimmer. I have always had a weakness for the water and traveling, both have a a sense of mystery about them and a want to be explored. I find the same to be true about design. There are so many avenues to explore, challenges to be figured out, and stories to be told. Design is something that I find to be so versatile and tends to keep me guessing. I am always in search of me next adventure, whether that is creating something new and exciting with design or exploring a new area. My latest adventure has taken me out to Seattle, Washington and I am very eager to see how my design can be inspired and grow from a new location.
ARTIST STATEMENT
To be a great designer is to take your life experiences and try to apply them to your work. Inspiration may come from the movies we watch, the people we meet, or the places we travel. I have become aware that I am an artist seeking inspiration at every moment of my life. I am in search for anything that will expand my imagination and better my skills as a designer.
According to many of my designs, I am a minimalist at heart. I like clean, bold, straight to the point designs. I use a strong grid structure so that everything is very organized and there is a nice flow throughout my work. In contrast to that, I can also step out of the box and come up with new solutions for any design problem that a client might have.
I tend to immerse myself into my work, exploring many different options before deciding what the right path to follow is. A great designer does everything they can to continue growing and improving as an artist.
